Monitoring Distribution Point Status

Content is a key element of ConfigMgr. You have to know that content is exactly where you want it to be. ConfigMgr 2007 does a good job with reports and distribution status messages. ConfigMgr 2012 takes things to the next level to help you identify current state of a DP as well as that of DPGs. There are three types of distribution status information available to you in the admin console:

Content Status: Provides DP information focused on the actual content (a package, application, software update package, and so on). Use this status to verify the distribution of one piece of content.
