Alerting

Although ConfigMgr itself is not designed to be a real-time reporting or alerting system, it is perfectly reasonable to want the evaluation results of a baseline to raise a real-time alert. Like all alerting, how you use this alert in your organization and the process to handle it is up to you.

There are three forms of alerting for compliance settings in ConfigMgr 2012:

Using console alerts: Console alerts are enabled individually on each baseline deployment and generate in-console alerts for deployed baselines under a specific percentage threshold for compliance evaluation after a specified date and time.
