Using WOL
ConfigMgr takes care of all the details for actually implementing WOL. You simply have to tell the system when to use it. ConfigMgr supports WOL for these activities:
• Application management package/program mandatory deployments
• Task sequence mandatory deployments
• Software update mandatory deployments
A check box is present on the Deployment Settings page of the deployment wizard for each type of these objects if (and only if) the intent or purpose of the deployment is set to Required, which cannot be changed after a deployment is created.
