Enabling Logging
Some logs are initially enabled, whereas others are not.
• To disable or enable site server component logging, use the Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) Service Manager, discussed in the “Using ConfigMgr Service Manager” section of this appendix. The site server components are located on the machine with the SMS_Executive service installed, in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\SMS\tracing, where you can view the configuration by each component. However, Microsoft prefers you use ConfigMgr Service Manager rather than making modifications directly to the registry.
• Client-based files are enabled by default and can be disabled through the registry on the client under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CCM\Logging
