In this chapter we discuss color metrics, color processing, color descriptors, color-based segmentation, and color correspondence, which the author believes are the key components of human vision. Several refinements to the synthetic eye and lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN) models are made to describe novel color spaces and biologically plausible color vision metrics.
