Acrobat Reader

Acrobat Reader, which lets you read Acrobat (PDF) files, works precisely the same on the Mac as it does in Windows. If you like, you can download Acrobat Reader from www.adobe.com.

However, you have an even nicer PDF-reading program right there in your Applications folder, called Preview.

Preview can display PDFs with the best of them—but it’s got Acrobat Reader beat on several other counts. Preview doubles as a graphics viewer, can edit photos, and is more or less a full-blown drawing program. For more on Preview, see More control sliders.
