4. Migrating from Vista to Windows 7

We’re going to assume you have read at least Chapters 1 and 2 (and it’s not a bad idea to skim Chapter 8) before turning to this chapter. We’re also assuming that you’ve assessed what application programs you have and the appropriate versions of them you want to use with Windows 7. If you followed the instructions in Chapters 1 and 2, you’ve verified that you have the hardware you need, you have the existing version of Vista (including the latest service pack upgrades), and you’ve evaluated the options for upgrading your applications (with the form shown at Table 2.1).
