Abstract

The chapter deals with the building revolution in the Middle East: how the transformation from tents to skyscraper has taken place in 50 years. The old mud houses and their comfort are explained with examples, and the chapter contains a description of how the sudden wealth from oil money has changed the region into a building hub of the world.
