In September 1983, when I first came to the United States from India, had anyone told me that I would be writing books and going around the world teaching courses in Supply Chain Management, I would have fallen off my chair laughing. I was a Chartered Accountant, the British equivalent of a Certified Public Accountant, with a law degree who had come to the United States to do an MBA at the University of San Diego.
