Chapter 23. Having a Personal Plan B

After you have finished reading this chapter, you should be convinced that it would be smart for you and your staff to develop a personal plan B.

If you are happy and effective as a front-line supervisor, chances are excellent that you will eventually aspire to further upward mobility. Success at one level has a way of pushing an individual toward a higher level for many reasons, including the prospect of additional financial rewards, greater ego satisfaction, and the opportunity to test one's leadership ability in more demanding situations.
