ELIMINATE TIME WASTERS

Eliminate the little time wasters. “Some manufacturing plants do microtime and motion studies on their production employees. Employees are filmed doing their work, and then they carefully view their motions in an attempt to eliminate unnecessary activities. Perhaps this technique would be good to use with supervisors. A film would probably show you many ways to save time through elimination of needless motions or activities.”

Do not waste time looking for things that you use often. Put things back in their proper places. Organize your office so you can find what you need, whether a file or a piece of equipment. Searching for a misplaced item eats up time.
