Most supervisors find that it is important to have short staff meetings on a regular basis. Such meetings provide an excellent opportunity to introduce changes, solicit input, explain, and ask questions. Staff meetings can dissipate tensions, improve relationships, communicate an important message quickly, and result in increased productivity. But if not conducted properly, staff meetings can waste time and thus do more harm than good.
