KNOWING ABOUT PERSONAL PERFORMANCE CONTRACTS

Your superior may wish to work out a personal performance contract (PPC) with you, or you may wish to work out one for yourself and submit it to your superior as a surprise. A PPC establishes future goals for which an individual becomes accountable.

In simple terms, a contract is a written agreement between an employee and his or her manager that forecasts accomplishments to be achieved within a specific time period. Where possible, benefits should be tied to accomplishments.

Here are the normal steps taken in the development of a PPC:
