USING THE FIVE FOUNDATIONS

These five irreplaceable foundations, then, serve the supervisor in building and keeping healthy, productive relationships with employees.

  • Give clear and complete instructions.

  • Communicate: Let people know how they are doing.

  • Give credit when due.

  • Involve people in decisions.

  • Maintain an open door.
