CASE: DECISION
Eric is in a perfect position to prepare a Plan B. In fact, he should have started one some months ago. Apparently he does not sense that it is ethical in this situation to play both ends against the middle. A true Plan B would prepare him for upward mobility in his present firm, but if things don't work out, he will be ready to accept excellent outside opportunities. Chances are good that by the time Eric has a Plan B ready, he will have solved the problem. One reason a resolution is likely is that in doing his Plan B, Eric will have restored his positive attitude.
