Katherine N. Probst is a senior fellow at Resources for the Future (RFF). During the past 20 years, she has directed major studies of the Superfund program. She is the lead author of RFF's previous book on Superfund, Footing the Bill for Superfund Cleanups: Who Pays and How? She is also the lead author of many RFF reports, including: Cleaning Up the Weapons Complex: Does Anybody Care?, The Evolution of Hazardous Waste Programs: Lessons from Eight Countries, and Long-Term Stewardship and the Nuclear Weapons Complex: The Challenge Ahead. She was the project director of RFF's evaluation of the role of land use and Superfund cleanups.
