Resource Group Manager

Within SC2.2, logical hosts are an abstraction of connectivity, storage, and application (logical IP address, disk group or metaset, and data service agent). These components must exist before a logical host can be created. This approach is relatively easy to configure and manage; however, its main drawback is flexibility. Storage has to be assigned to a logical host (a logical host cannot be created without a storage component). The SC3.0 framework enables greater flexibility when creating logical hosts (including creating new, different types of services). Additionally, each of these layers (storage, network, service) can now be managed separately.
