Continuous Availability

SC2.2 applications are highly available; that is, in the event of hardware or software failure, a correctly configured logical host(s) will migrate to a surviving node. The time required for a logical host to be ready for client requests depends on several variables (some of which are out of the control of system administrators), for example, the amount of time it takes for disk groups to be exported, then imported, and (if necessary) perform a file system check. The problem is compounded when there are a large number of disks.

When using global file services, the time required for the importing and deporting of disk groups is significantly reduced. With SC3.0 software, continuous availability has been built into the framework. ...
