Cluster Configuration Database Daemon

The cluster configuration database daemon (ccdd) is responsible for managing consistency of the CCD. Each node has a ccdd process running on it—if the daemon dies unexpectedly, the node will panic. The daemon processes (on each node) communicate via the private interconnect using ports 7000 to 7031. The daemon automatically reconfigures when a CCD change occurs (or when the CMM reconfigures). Understanding the states of a CCD is useful when determining errors. The four possible states are as follows:

Idle

In Idle mode, the ccdd is waiting for a trigger to enter the start state.

Start

In the Start mode, the daemon reads and checks the init CCD for the dynamic CCD configuration information. The daemon on each ...
