Cluster Failure Scenarios

Many different types of failure scenarios were covered in the previous section. It is important to remember that the majority of the test cases were extreme and highly unlikely due to the fact that it would require multiple hardware failures for a cluster to degrade to those states.

Note

Again, it is important to stress, SC2.2 software was designed to handle a single failure without a prolonged disruption of services.

It is impressive how the SC2.2 framework is able to protect shared data. In the majority of multiple hardware failures, SC2.2 will continue to provide data services (albeit with degradation), regardless of the failure condition.
