Sun Cluster 2.2 Software Components
Figure 2-1 illustrates the SC2.2 framework layers used to support high availability or parallel databases. Although each box in the diagram represents a major component of the SC2.2 environment, it does not show the relationships between components. For example, each node uses the Cluster Membership Monitor functionality; however, not every node requires (or will have) the Fault Monitor functionality. In subsequent sections, the functionality of each layer will be discussed.
