Architectural Limitations
Regardless of design, any software or hardware has physical or technical limitations. The SC2.2 environment can be used in varying hardware and software configurations; however, before implementing the SC2.2 software, it is important to understand its product limitations. Failure to use the SC2.2 product within these design parameters could compromise data integrity or have adverse effects on availability.
The following are the SC2.2 limitation considerations:
Any data services not supplied by Sun Microsystems are not supported; contact third-party supplier for support.
The Solaris sendmail program is not supported.
For NIS or NIS+ services—cluster nodes can be clients, but not servers or slaves.
