Fault Monitoring
The START_NET, STOP_NET, and ABORT_NET DSM template scripts previously discussed provide the basic functions required to start, stop, and abort applications associated with a data service. The following section provides a basic DSM script used for application monitoring and management using the Sun Cluster process monitoring facility (PMF).

When running an application or associated children, if they die, they can be restarted by the PMF framework.
