This appendix describes those attributes used to create resource types as well as resources.

Table A.1. Sun Cluster 3.x Callback Methods Quick Reference

Callback Method	Idempotent	Description
START	NO	Used to start a resource.
STOP	YES	Used to stop a resource.
PRENET_START	NO	Used to bring up a resource after network interfaces have been plumbed up but before the network addresses are available.
POSTNET_STOP	YES	Used to stop a resource after the network resources have been brought down.
VALIDATE	NO	Used to determine that a resource’s properties are set to valid values as stipulated in the resource’s RTR file. Also called during an update of the resource.
UPDATE	YES	If a resource is active (running on a node) and changes are made to the resource, ...
