Chapter 1. What is Architecture?
Each chapter in this book follows the same basic structure. The chapter starts with a listing of the exam objectives that are described in the chapter. This is followed by either an “Introduction” section or a “Prerequisite Review” section, which identifies any assumed knowledge for the chapter. A “Discussion” section, which describes the topics in the chapter with a focus on the objectives is next. This is followed by “Essential Points,” which is a summary of the key ideas in the chapter. Finally the “Review Your Progress” section focuses on questions that might appear on the exam.
