The Essay Exam
The second part of the developer exam consists of four short-answer essay questions. The exam is taken at a Sylvan Authorized Prometric Testing Center in the same manner as the programmer exam. It differs from the programmer exam in that the developer exam questions are short essay questions, and the programmer exam consists of multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions. The questions that are asked of you depend on the specific programming assignment that you were given. The following is a sample question that is provided by Sun:
