Chapter Summary

This chapter covered the classes and interfaces of java.awt that are used to lay out GUI components. You were introduced to each of the AWT layout managers and learned how they work through a programming example. You also learned how components are laid out in the absence of a layout manager. You should now be prepared to test your knowledge of these topics.
