The Classes and Interfaces of the java.util Package
The java.util package provides 36 classes and 13 interfaces that support the Collections API, date/calendar operations, internationalization, change observation, parsing, random number generation, and basic event processing. These classes and interfaces are summarized in Figure 10.1 and described in the following sections.
