Strategies for Improving Intergroup Teamwork

1.   Identify a common objective. The most important outcome of an intergroup team building exercise should be a common objective or a set of objectives. In other words, it’s the search for an umbrella that we can all get under.

2.   Develop personal connections. Nothing beats getting to know the folks on the other team. When you get to know them, most often you break down those stereotypes and see people as individuals, often with similar interests and goals.
