Why Team Building?

Team building is not called for in every team situation. There might be a skills deficiency and, therefore, training is the appropriate response. It might be a systems problem and, therefore, some organizational changes might be required. There might be a leadership deficit and, as a result, a change in team leadership may need to precede any other actions.

However, if one or more of the following symptoms of ineffective teamwork are present, team building may be called for:
