Creating Winning Corporate and Foundation Proposals

AS YOUR SCHOOL UNITS become more and more interested in pursuing grants from foundations and corporations, the district grants office will be asked more frequently for help in understanding private grantors and constructing foundation and corporate proposals.

These proposals are particularly difficult to construct because private grantors generally do not provide the guidelines, rules, and specificity that government funders do. The district grants office research system should strive to provide grant writers with as much information as possible on preferred proposal formats, but only a few private funders have format guidelines available in print or on a website.
