It is often quoted that success has many fathers, while failure is an orphan. Well LOVEFiLM certainly had its fair share of fathers and deservedly so. The business would never have been the success it was without a class team to lead it.
In the book I cover many of the founders involved in the early days of the business, but the management from Fern, Lesley, both Simons, Mike, Andrew, David and Jim were the best I have seen. The fun, challenges and camaraderie we had on this roller-coaster ride were highlights of my career so far. Their infectious enthusiasm and perhaps the partial insanity, especially Simon Morris, helped keep my feet firmly on the ground. I miss you all.
