Assigning an Integration Maturity Score
The potential integration point score is 10.
We have identified several integration mechanisms in this chapter. Each of them has maturity implications for any given open source product. Table 9.1 contains the possible scores for each integration item. Based on a possible point total of 10, the scoring is as follows:
If the necessary integrations have been identified through the process outlined in this chapter, two points are assigned, as this is the first step toward integration success.
If there are integrations that need to be developed and it is possible to do them using established standards like Web services, an additional three points are assigned.
