Assessing Training Maturity

To assess Web-based postings, someone familiar with both the product and the organization's needs should be assigned to do a comprehensive search of the available postings. For the reasons outlined earlier, Web-based postings are unlikely to be comprehensive and therefore are best used as supplements to another training arrangement. Nevertheless, there might be postings that should be part of the training program because they have content particularly appropriate to the organization. The individual assigned to the search should identify valuable postings and collect their links into a centralized document that provides an overview of what each posting provides.
