Defining Training Requirements

Defining the organization's training requirements is very similar to the process used for documentation. The general experience level of the organization's employees helps define how much training is necessary. More experienced employees are usually better at learning material quickly, whereas less experienced employees have less context in which to place new material, making their training needs higher. Also, if you are implementing an open source product that is similar to a commercial product already used in the organization, the employee population already has a good knowledge base and will require less training.
