These differences are due to stock splits and dividends that have occurred since 1999. However, the same price pattern exists; thus, peaks and troughs occur on the same days.

1. In earlier editions of Technical Analysis: The Complete Resource for Financial Market Technicians, we used the notation DMI+ and DMI- to refer to +DI and –DI, respectively. Here, we have reverted to +DI and –DI to refer to the directional movement indicators to be consistent with Wilder’s original work.
