Let me point out a few of the key things that helped me make these relationships work.
At the start of the story I knew Cheryl. Cheryl was one of my very early clients when I had just trained as an image consultant. Her sister had bought her a voucher for a make-up lesson. These vouchers cost just £20. Cheryl came to visit me and I spent over two hours with her explaining different looks, products and applications. It was supposed to be a 30-minute session taster session but I went above and beyond this. I was learning my new craft and delighted to have a client lapping up the information. Cheryl then went onto my mailing list and began to receive my regular newsletters.
