Introduction to Chapter 6

Get a can opener and pry inside the cavity of the human brain. What do you see? If you did this quite literally, you wouldn’t see much at all. Cognitive psychologists and others who do this, not quite so literally, don’t see much at all either. But they do see some things, and we try to capture some of that here, for how are we to appreciate strategy if we can’t pry into the head of the strategist?
