Appendix A. Standard Symbols and Definitions

A.1. Introduction

The purpose of Appendix A is to establish definitions for the symbols and components within the requirements and architecture models. Meant to be a summary of the two models, this Appendix is a quick reference guide to all definitions and rules presented within the text. Appendix A represents the core symbols, components, and rules for the use of the structured methods on any program or project. Guidelines that can be changed from time to time to allow program flexibility without affecting the methods have not been included.
