Strategic planning for human resources

The other key resource is people. This chapter shows why a strategic approach to human resource management is important, both as a means of ensuring that resources match strategic needs and also as one of the ways to help ensure that strategies are implemented. The chapter shows how these aims can be achieved, and provides a number of check lists and questionnaires to help facilitate the assessment of the degree to which the organisation takes a strategic approach to HRM.
