HAVING A “WHEEL” REVELATION

Much of this book revolves around our embedment wheel. When we started writing, we thought the wheel was useful for two important reasons: to serve as a useful construct for the entire book and to be useful to readers. Along the way, we confess to having some doubts.

But while we were working on this book, we also kept our day jobs, Nancy as the head of competency creation and leadership development at Whirlpool and Deb as strategic consultant to some of the world's greatest organizations. We found ourselves continuously learning from the wheel and using it in multiple applications of our jobs.
