VISION EXTENSION: THE VISION STATEMENT WAS NOT ENOUGH

As the embedment work began, our innovation vision statement became a sort of blueprint for the environment we needed to create in order to embed innovation. However, in the early months of embedment, our senior leaders—the Executive Committee and the next level of twenty-five leaders, the Chairman's Council—expanded the vision by creating a set of forward-looking statements about the Whirlpool of the future.
