About the Author

Richard A. D’Aveni is among the top 50 business thinkers in the world for the past 6 years running, according to CNN, Forbes, the Times (London), and the Times of India. Best known for his work on hypercompetition, D’Aveni is the Bakala Professor of Strategy at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a winner of the prestigious A. T. Kearney Award for his research. He has been a World Economic Forum Fellow.

He holds a PhD from Columbia University, a JD from Suffolk University, an MBA from Boston University, and an AB in government from Cornell University. He is also a CPA (expired) and a member of the bar (inactive) in Massachusetts.
