Chapter 3 provides tips and insights you need to know before getting started, including the right order for doing the analysis, the relationship with scorecards, the importance of conducting interviews and qualitative analysis, and who should construct the causal model.

Chapter 4 covers step 1 in the Strategic Analytics process. It provides a detailed discussion of how to identify the organizational strengths that define your competitive advantage and the weaknesses that threaten it. You start with identifying the sources of competitive advantage and focus the enterprise and human capital analysis on those.
