Exploratory Work with the VAERS Data
One of the first methods we can use to explore this VAERS
data set is to characterize the variable attributes within the three
years of data from 2010 to 2013. To accomplish this, weâll
use SAS Enterprise Guide. Follow the brief steps below to run the
Characterize Data task.

Open SAS Enterprise Guide and label your project. I labeled mine as âVAERS Data Prepâ.

Start a new Process Flow. I labeled this one âExploratory Workâ.

From the folder in Chapter 4, make sure you add the SAS data set called VAERS_2010_2013 to your SAMPSIO SAS library. Drag this data set to the Exploratory Work flow diagram.

With the VAERS_2010_2013 data set highlighted, select Task -> Describe -> Characterize ...
