The Difference between Tactical and Strategic Analytics

Data and analytics at the individual customer level imply that an estimate, prediction, or classification takes place at a customer detail level, and, therefore, any business action taken will also be at that level; and this is a tactical example. For example, if customers are classified into segments that each represent customers with relatively similar attributes, then any action within those segments will generally be at the customer level.
