Competing for Relevance

In order for Canada to become more relevant in the rapidly changing and reordered world, we need to pay more attention to the mindsets we have allowed ourselves to develop as Canadians and those we foster in our business leaders at all levels. The Canadian inferiority complex and the comfortable stereotypes we have allowed to form around us need to change if we are to assert ourselves on the stage of world commerce.

While there are undoubtedly many different ways to look at this, perhaps the simplest way is, as Carol Dweck suggests in her book Mindset, to think about people in terms of whether they are learners or non-learners.
