Carpe Diem
As a country that has weathered the global economic crisis in much better shape than most, Canada now needs to seize the mantle of global leadership and respond aggressively and proactively on the world business stage. We need to initiate a bold, direct response to the changing environment. We need to seize the day. We simply cannot allow change to be dictated by others, who may not share our views, our enviable fiscal position, our high moral standards or our open, tolerant and embracing national nature. We need to be more assertive and ensure we have a stronger position of influence in the world of business, and we have to lead from a position of confidence, character and civility, not compromise, consensus and complacency.
