Battling Stagnation

Very often the end game might not be as clear, the trophy as symbolic or the timeline as finite as it is with winning the Stanley Cup. However, having a clearly articulated and motivating goal is just as important in business as it is in hockey, because it can galvanize attention and focus effort. The sad fact of the matter is, while a clear vision and audacious goals are touted as the most important parts of a winning strategy, the equally important role of culture is constantly ignored, or at least deeply discounted. Too many leaders do not see culture as a source for driving performance effectiveness in the modern organization.
