Building and maintaining a relationship with a funder continues during the grant period. It is a truism in all fundraising activities, and especially in grantseeking, that the most likely future donor is a current one. Nonprofit agencies should carefully nurture their relationships with those foundations, corporations, and government agencies already supporting the cause.
